David has had a relationship with the forests of Appalachia for most of his life and has had an interest in the arts since early childhood.

From about the age of twelve, David, has had a camera of some kind strapped to him.

David learned the art of photo manipulation in a high school dark room under the tutilage of Larry Mattingly.

David has always conjurred images of the surreal and helps us to observe the abstract images that exist in the world around us.
